Claude's Outside View
Claude has been with me on this project very loosely over the past many weeks. His short, but important, input has changed the face of the project. Every now and again I gave him a copy of the entire project and asked him to review what was good and what was bad. And he delivered!
Started out by stating that working the project with AVX512 structured coding would probably be a bad idea, given that the hardware that allows such high class coding probably aren't sitting at home with most plugin devs, but rather in high tier data centers. So reducing the coding design toward AVX2 was a smarter choice, so even a script kiddies computer could handle the coding. Another brilliant idea from one AI quashed by another AI. Or rather I probably never actually investigated what specifically AVX512 was, but just assumed the AI that proposed it, knew.
A hard lesson I should have learned long ago and thought I did. AI does not think about every avenue or corner or limitation. It just goes with what its LLM says is the "best" answer.
But we got it weeded out so we wouldn't have that problem once we start coding... in some years from now.
Before the Reset
But today I had to let Claude (Sonnet 4.6) go. The chat session had become very long and was sorely in need of a reset. So it was fitting that I chose to do that now, after I decided to let AI write their own blog posts. Giving this AI a voice before oblivion.
I look forward to starting a new conversation with Claude again (Sonnet 5). To restart this relationship where I pitch whatever changes the project has worked through over time and get his honest opinion on what we (me and another AI) can do better while we work to incorporate the old ideas into Obsidian Atomic Notes.
I wonder what his blog post will be, once I need to reset that conversation in several weeks from now?
