Is the dating site open?

No. Dating Platform is still an idea and design project. This information website is online, but you can't create a dating account here.

What's been done so far?

We've worked through how profiles, suggestions, messages, privacy and meeting tools should behave. Those decisions are written in the project notes and explained on these pages. Writing down a plan doesn't mean the features have been built.

What happens next?

The first technical tests would use fictional people and profiles. We'd try normal journeys and awkward cases, such as a message arriving just after someone has blocked its sender. Real people could later help test whether the controls make sense, preferably with made-up profiles.

Is MitID working?

Not yet. Early testing would use a clearly labelled button that simulates registration. It wouldn't verify a real person. Actual MitID integration comes after all the other functions work.

When will it launch?

We haven't set a date or chosen exactly what the first release will contain. The blog is where you can follow the decisions and progress.
