The story is why you came.

Here is a very short description of the story:

A young man is abducted by aliens and infused with nanites so he can be used for sinister and devious plots. Unfortunately for their most evil and well-though out plan, another alien race mounts an attack on their base just at a critical point in the process and during the confusion, consisting of killing and dying aliens, the young man escapes in a sentient shuttle. The shuttle returns him to Earth and there he unwittingly learns to control the nanites and this is where the adventures begins...

The future is full of technology, power, fun, space, wonders and much more.
But only with the discovery of what will affectionally be named as Tel'aran'rhiod, will the true adventures begin.
